Twas the day after graduation
of a cousin of mine
an after party to atend today
and that was just fine

So we drove to Santee
too eat food and have fun
to listen to family
what else has been done?

one cousin might not graduate
another isnt home yet
and Jennifer wont eat the sandwhiches
"IT IS SOUP WE MUST GET"

so the family is too loud
and the cousin finally arrives
and we grab some cake
and we say our good-byes

Jennifer wants Togo's
and so towards Mira Mesa we leave
to begin our quest to find soup
with no meat but some cheese

after arriving in Mira Mesa
and almost getting lost
that Togo's is closed but...
MUST HAVE SOUP NO MATTER THE COST!

so we head down towards home
and call 411
"there's one on El Cajon Blvd"
the drive hath begun

and i drive us to North Park
only to find a Coco's
apparently 411 cant tell the difference
between Coco's and Togo's

to Mission Valley it is
to a Togo's we know is there
but, alas, no soup she likes
so we walked out in dispair

mom says "lets try Chili's"
its right across the parking lot
Jennifer says "ok"
knowing this is the last chance she's got

"welcome to Chili's"
is what they have to say
"vegetarian soup to go?"
"we have potato and vegetable"
HURRAY!!

So Jennifer got her soup
and we finally got to go
and almost two hours after the quest started
we got to go home

The moral of the story?
why, it's quite simple and true
whenever you get hungry, be grateful
that Jennifer isn't your sister too
